"The Affair of the Necklace"

The Journeys Art Quilters are stretching their imaginations as they prepare for their 4th annual show, January 3 to February 28 at the Sisters Art Works, 204 W. Adams Ave. in Sisters, with opening night January 6th from 4 pm to 6 pm. Gallery hours are 10 am to 5 pm weekdays.
The artists were challenged to create a work 18” x 45”, using the theme “The Affair of the Necklace”. The audience will be delighted with the jewel colors and the imaginative way each piece demonstrates the unique style of the individual artists. The designs use cotton, wool and silk, as well as embellishments, and viewers will be surprised at the variety: everything from whimsy to romance, from adventures in the abstract to pictorial, from playful to intense.
New this year is a collection of small works, each piece 8“ x 8”, created with the same imagination and attention to detail that the larger works are, and again, each one unique to the style of the individual artists. These small pieces will give the public an opportunity to purchase a wonderful work of art at a reasonable price.
